EcoPro TYPE-A fibre cement boards are manufactured by an asbestos-free process. These boards are composite of special grade cellulose fibre cement, fly ash, cotton rag pulp, recycled newsprint paper, and other binders.

This boards are ideal for mezzanine applications. And are resistant to moisture, rotting, fire and termites.

Mezzanine floor may be constructed from EcoPro boards fixed over a timber or steel frame.

Fixing Process

Steel structure for mezzanine floor should be made as per the directions of the concerned structural engineer. Grid size of this structure should be 610 X 610mm for normal loads and 400 X 400mm or 300 X 300mm for heavy loads. In any case it should not be more than 610 X 610mm.

INSTALLATION: MEZZANINE GRID SIZE: 610MM. X 610MM.  

• 18mm thick ecopro boards are screw fixed to the approved grid by drilling holes as per shown in fig.
• There should be a gap of 2-3mm between the edge of boards.
• All structural member should be in line & level.
• It should be free from welding spatters.
• All the four edges of the board should be well supported.
• Joints should be staggered by half length of the board.
• A gap of 5mm is provided all around the mezzanine periphery between the board edge and the wall.
• Gap is filled with sealant. ECOPRO boards can be finished with different floor covering like carpet and Ceramic Tiles.

Life of FCB Water Repellent feature? If I break the board into two parts, will it resist water? And if I use FCB in the bathroom, how long will it resist water?

Ans:– The life of water repellent chemical after applying is approximately on an average  5 year, it also depend on where we are using the board, is it in high rain fall area, high temperature area, internal or external.
